  • Developing financial strategies that align with the company’s overall goals and
    objectives.
  • Leading the creation of long-term financial plans and projections to drive
    company growth.
  • Providing strategic recommendations to senior management on key financial
    decisions, including investments, acquisitions, or cost-cutting measures.
  • Overseeing the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements,
    including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensuring that reports comply with relevant accounting standards and regulations
  • Presenting financial results and forecasts to the board of directors, investors,
    and other stakeholders.
  • Leading the budgeting process by working with department heads to prepare
    detailed annual budgets.
  • Forecasting revenue, expenses, and capital requirements to ensure financial
    stability and resource allocation.
  • Managing the company’s cash flow, ensuring there is sufficient liquidity for dayto-day operations and planned investments.
  • Overseeing treasury functions, including managing banking relationships,
    investments, and capital structure.
  • Identifying and assessing financial risks (such as market, credit, and operational
    risks) and developing strategies to mitigate them.
  • Leading or coordinating internal and external audits to evaluate the effectiveness
    of financial controls.
  • Ensuring compliance with tax laws, financial regulations, and reporting
    requirements.
  • Overseeing the preparation and filing of tax returns, including income taxes,
    payroll taxes, and sales taxes.
  • Managing relationships with tax authorities and external auditors to address any
    issues or inquiries.
  • Leading and managing the finance team, ensuring staff development, training,
    and performance management.
  • Providing guidance and leadership to other departments regarding financial
    matters.
  • Analysing financial data to provide insights for decision-making across the
    company.
  • Supporting management by providing recommendations based on financial
    trends and data insights.
  • Liaising with external stakeholders regarding financial performance, strategies,
    and outlook.
  • Providing clear communication of financial results and expectations to the board
    of directors, shareholders, and employees.
  • Ensuring that the organization’s financial practices align with corporate
    governance standards and ethical financial conduct.
  • Implementing and managing financial software and systems that improve
    financial reporting, analysis, and operations.
  • Negotiating with banks, investors, and other entities for favourable financial
    terms and conditions for the company
  • Diploma/Degree from an accredited tertiary institution in finance, accounting, or
    a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or ACCA
    (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.
  • Proficiency in financial software and spreadsheet applications.
  • Analytical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills for reporting and advising management.
  • Open to learning to work with new software and applications.
