1. BACKGROUND
The Environmental Assessment Practitioners Association of South Africa (EAPASA) was
formally established to address the need for quality assurance in professional practice
in environmental assessment in South Africa. On 8 February 2018, the Minister of
Environmental Affairs promulgated the appointment of EAPASA as the single
Registration Authority for Environmental Assessment Practitioners (EAPs) in South
Africa. This appointment was made indefinitely in terms of the National Environmental
Management Act (NEMA), Act No. 107 of 1998 as amended.

2. PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE
The objective of this Request for Quotation (RFQ) is to appoint a suitably qualified and
competent service provider with a proven track record and experience to provide
Website Hosting and Management services to EAPASA for a 24-month period.

3. SCOPE OF WORK
To provide assistance to sustain the EAPASA website through the following services:-

• Timeous website maintenance
• Ensure regular content updates, notices, document uploads and page
  edits
• Ensure CMS core updates and plugin updates are done regularly
• Compatibility testing and regression checks
• Website uptime monitoring
• Standard security patching
• Error resolution and reproducible bug fixing
• The service provider must refresh the website and make it more interactive and also align with modern websites for professional bodies across the globe
• Modenisation of website should include: improved user interface (UI), improved user experience (UX), mobile optimisation, improved navigation and improved search functionality, as a minimum.
• The service provider should ensure the integration of the website with our existing platforms i.e. GlueUP, Online Registration, Online CPD etc
• The service provider should monitor website traffic, user behaviour and page performance
• As a minimum, the service provider should ensure that the website includes firewall protection, malware monitoring and backup systems
