Mentorship Programme

The EAPASA Mentorship Programme is aimed at supporting the professional growth and development of Candidate Environmental Assessment Practitioners (Candidate EAPs) through guidance and knowledge-sharing from Registered Environmental Assessment Practitioners (Registered EAPs).

Why Mentorship is Important

Mentorship plays a vital role in strengthening the environmental profession by promoting:

  • Skills transfer and practical learning
  • Professional growth and career development
  • Ethical practice and industry standards
  • Capacity building within the sector
  • Support for future Registered EAPs

Benefits for Candidate EAPs

Candidate EAPs benefit from mentorship through:

  • Practical workplace exposure
  • Guidance on professional responsibilities
  • Development of technical and reporting skills
  • Support in meeting registration requirements
  • Career advice and industry insight

Benefits for Registered EAPs

Registered EAPs benefit by:

  • Contributing to the growth of the profession
  • Developing leadership and coaching skills
  • Sharing knowledge and experience
  • Supporting transformation and succession in the sector

How to Participate

Registered EAPs benefit by:

1) Registered EAPs may mentor Candidate EAPs within their organisations.
 

2) Both parties must complete the Mentorship Agreement Form.

3) Registered EAPs without access to Candidate EAPs may request assistance from EAPASA for matching.

4) Candidate EAPs seeking mentorship are encouraged to contact EAPASA.
